My passion for white wine, no doubt, stemmed from my father’s distaste for it. It’s not that I set out to make white wine out of spite, but rather, he inspired me. You see he claimed to only like red wine, so it became my goal to find balanced and interesting whites that he would like. It didn’t take long as he slowly began to appreciate the depth and complexity that carefully sculpted whites can deliver. When I was presented with the opportunity to make my own wine, it was an easy decision to focus on making delicate and finessed white wines. These wines are not only for those drinkers that enjoy the nuances of a handcrafted white wine, but also for those who pretend not to. A dusty diesel flatbed carries a load of ripe peaches and nectarines. Its Wrangler clad driver wipes her glistening brow with an old handkerchief. She puckers her fire engine red lipstick while looking in the rearview mirror, remembering a love lost but not forgotten.

2010 Alice, 100% Grenache Blanc

Tropical aromas of pineapple and guava evolve into more subtle vanilla notes. Green apple and wet limestone lead to more fleshy citrus driven flavors. The rich mid-palate is cut with vibrant and lively acidity giving this wine miles of finish.

This baby explodes with aromas of pineapple, brioche and crushed rocks. An authoritative pallet of lemon oil, honeysuckle and nectarine builds to a rich and voluptuous tactile experience that finishes with a mineral driven length beyond belief.
